According to a study conducted by Edison Research, an estimated 45% of the US population listened to audiobooks this year 2022. The most recent consumer survey by the APA recorded 46% of consumers listened to audiobooks from March 2020 to March 2021, 50 percent of listeners are under 50 years old. The 2021 data shows that 25 percent of women listened to audiobooks compared to 22 percent of men.
